Hotel Beachcomber Resort Surfers Paradise (Surfers Paradise, Australia)

The hotel is one street away from the main tourist strip, Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise which is a hub entertainment both day and night. A number of guests stayed at the hotel because of its proximity to Cavill Avenue and mentioned how convenient the access to this precinct was in their reviews.

A number of guests who stayed on the high floors in the tower were really impressed by the views of the water and surrounding hinterland that were possible from the balconies and guests left good comments about relaxing at the end of the day on the balconies.

Guests left comments about how they thought the hotel was good value for money so close to the centre of Surfers Paradise, when compared to other hotels in the area which were much more expensive.

Guests commented on the old furniture, the dated decor, the broken-down elevator, rusty bathtubs and broken kitchen cupboards which all require immediate attention and give a the place the appearance that it is old and unkept.

In sunny Queensland where the weather is consistently hot, the air conditioning needs to be working well to ensure a pleasant temperature. This was not the case for a number of visitors to the hotel who had trouble with leaky and noisy air-conditioning units which struggled to cool the rooms to a comfortable temperature.

Guests were not at all impressed with the standard of cleaning throughout the hotel from their rooms to the common areas guests felt that it was dirty and especially gritty underfoot owing to the sand from the beach being tracked into the hotel.  A number of people also commented on the scuff marks on the walls, the stained carpets and soft furnishings and the putrid curtains.
