Bayside at Sandestin (formerly known as Leciel At Sandestin) is a family condo facility on the Sandestin Boulevard South, overlooking the marina. Located close to Silver Sands Premium Outlets, the condos have their own restaurants, spa and nightclub. The condos are smoke-free and child-friendly with views of the bay or the resort. Air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, coffee makers, fridge, microwave and iPod docks are some of the conveniences provided for guests. Housekeeping is provided on a limited basis. The condo complex has an outdoor pool and full service spa. There is a fitness center, outdoor tennis courts and children's club. There’s 24-hour front desk facility. There is also a conference center here. The Bayside at Sandestin condo complex has five restaurants and a night club as well. The Grand Boulevard Town Center is about two miles from the resort. The Burnt Pine Golf Club and Topsail Beach State Preserve are about three miles away.
Also known as the Leciel, the hotel is now usually known as Bayside at Sandestin. Very little else has changed and the hotel's unusual attractions include those unique bay views and a location right on the golf course. You can spend hours watching the ‘jumping fish' and diving seagulls and the hotel continues to be a restful place; ... just right for a stress free vacation.
The location is just great for beach access, nightlife and restaurants. There's the Sunset Bay Café, Jordano's Pizzas, Bijoux and a whole lot more restaurants. There's fun at Blast Arcade and on the Sun Quest Cruises. Plus, there's no shortage of nightlife either at clubs including The Village Door, Club LA, Electric Cowboy and Matador.
It has to be said that the TV connection service leaves a lot to be desired. If, though, you do hit a problem and you simply can't survive without TV, shuffle off down to the Baytown Wharf, or a number of similar haunts, and watch your program in convivial company. Problem solved!
Can you believe? ...they don't clean the rooms or remove rubbish until you leave!
Not surprisingly, the fact that they don't clean rooms leads to an accumulation of grime and some very yucky carpets.
There are no instructions to how to control the room temperature and no directions as to where to dispose of rubbish, self-service style! There's no dialogue with the guest.
