The village-style layout, poor sound insulation and lack of curtains are a lethal combination for your privacy. Not only can you hear guests passing by on the wooden decking, there is little to stop them glaring into your room at the same time. The curtains are pretty ineffective in stopping this too. The thin walls also mean you can hear other guests talking next door too.
Whilst the hotel is original and typical, guests do feel that that they are being charged a bit too much for the privilege.
