Hotel Balear Beach Apartments (Palmanova, Spain)

Apartments contain the essentials for your holiday. They are clean and serviced twice a week.

The beautiful sandy beach is no more than 20 yards away, so it's like having a communal pool on the doorstep. The views from the terrace are little short of amazing. Bars, restaurants and shops are all ‘strollable' and what a bonus there is in the Beach Market! Stroll a bit further for wonderful seafood at La Mundo - and BBQ Son Mathias for stunning steaks and super strong Sangria.

There are things missing here, but when you consider the really first class position, incredible views and low cost accommodation, you can't equal it for true value. Don't miss out on the two hour boat trip which leaves three times a day. Very cheap and incredibly interesting and enjoyable.

There's no lift, which can create difficulty for many people, particularly in the hot weather. Elderly and disabled guests will suffer the most. Even the apartments at lower level are subject to a few steps. Nothing is truly on the ground floor.

You'll really miss the air conditioning during the summer months with the sun beating down. If you are travelling by car, it's well worth packing a fan. Also sadly missed is a microwave and of course, you can say goodbye to any thought of Wi-Fi. The TV is appalling and not worth turning on.

Everyone is very nice and friendly, from the cleaner to the night watchman; but, worryingly,there is no reception area. There is some Magaluf related noise but it's no more than you'd expect in a holiday area.
