Hotel Bahia Cabana Beach Resort (Fort Lauderdale, USA)

The restaurant food is really good. You have to try the French toast, its made just right, along with the rest of the dishes the hotel cooks. They usually serve about five specials each night.

The resort is right across the street from the beach, which is spanking clean by the way. It's also close to plenty of good restaurants and they provide live entertainment right on the premises as well. The airport is a little far, but the ride is not too bad.

If you are looking for basic comfortable accommodations and don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room, this resort will suit your needs. It's nothing fancy at all. It simply has the necessities.

It seems that the resort has seen better days. You will encounter various evidence of this in the worn carpets, roaches in some places, cracked paint on the walls and ceiling, stopped up bathtub, mildew, and dirt. You get the whole package! No vent in the bathroom, hole in the wall and the check-in area is tacky to say the least. The place needs to be refurbished or removed!

You have to use a valet service for parking and the cost per day for the parking is a bit steep. Also, when paying in advance the resort will still hold the amount for the accommodation on your card, which is money you won't be able to use. They don't let you know about these things in advance either.

Forget the Wi-Fi. About the longest you're going to get any service is a couple of minutes and then it's back out again.
