Some guests have commented that the onsite shop is very expensive. Because there is no real alternative (unless guests fancy visiting another island for their shopping!), it seems that the shop can charge over the odds. Some guests were unprepared as to how long it would take them to travel to the hotel, with nearly an hours boat ride to get to the island. Those who do get seasick may wish to take some remedies with them in case the sea is at all choppy.
A handful of guests did advise that although the hotel has charm in abundance, it's lacking atmosphere - especially at night. Although these guests weren't anticipating partying until dawn, they were expecting some live music or entertainment but this wasn't the case.
