The rooms here were pleasantly cozy and comfortable and if the guest comments are anything to go by, the property's refurbishment is much appreciated. The showers were most impressive, with visitors loving the sleek, modern design and the powerful spray.

While not situated right in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo, the location of this property is approximately five blocks away, convenient for those who wanted to hit the city on foot. Many were also impressed by the range of bars and restaurants near the hotel.

The service at this hotel seemed to be unfailing friendly and efficient, with many guests particularly impressed by the speed of the check-in procedures. Additionally, the breakfast here was impressive, with many loving the waffle option.

While a number found the rooms here to be delightfully cozy, others felt that the units were downright small. Beds appear to be generous in size, and because of this, they had the unfortunate effect of making rooms feel small. The bathrooms, many noted, were equally tight.

In its former reincarnation, smoky smells were a real concern at this property. The refurb has certainly helped in this respect, but many are still complaining about old smoky smells in rooms here.

Finally, noise was an issue here. Many reported that noise from the street did filter into rooms while many also said that corridor noise was a problem. This was an issue for some guests, who noted that the latter was noticeable late at night and again in the early hours of the morning.
