The relaxed guestrooms have inviting interiors with natural accents, and feature private marble bathrooms. While free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minifridges and air-conditioning are in all of the rooms, the larger Cottage Rooms add cathedral ceilings and fireplaces. The Nantucket Inn offers two pools, including the only indoor one on the island, a fitness center and several courtyards. You can get around Atlanta without a car, because the hotel is within walking distance to the MARTA Dunwoody stop. Also, the hotel is within walking distance to the Perimeter Mall, which has food courts, cafes and shops of every type.
This hotel is very clean, including the guest rooms, the common facilities such as the fitness room and the indoor and outdoor pools.
Management resolved customers' issues promptly. Many guests praised their friendliness and helpfulness. One previous guest noted that an error in a hotel reservation was promptly fixed and that a complimentary bottle of champagne was sent for the trouble.
Although the hotel is not located in the center of Atlanta, the policy is to charge a daily rate for parking. Guests questioned why a hotel with a huge parking lot had to add on fees to their guests. The fee is not waived even to hotel loyalty members.
This B&B is located next to the MARTA rail, which means the sound of the trains roaring by could disrupt your sleep. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. If you're worried about the impact it might have, request a hotel room on the opposite side of the MARTA. Be warned though, some guests said this did not resolve the noise issue.
Be prepared to pay a daily fee for using Wi-Fi. Guests say that while this fee is waived for loyalty reward members, they found it a bit surprising that a modern hotel would not provide it as complimentary service. They said the Atlanta Marriott should try to get with the times.
