Hotel Art Resort Galleria Umberto (Naples, Italy)

Guests described the architecture of this hotel as stunning, with beautiful rooms that really stood out. Sumptuous interiors of plush red and gold, along with chandeliers and art work from a private collection, provided accommodation that was definitely out of the ordinary. Guests loved that it felt like stepping back in time, and the impressive views were the icing on the cake.

Guests took note of hard-working staff who aimed to please. Courteous and cooperative staff were faultless, according to guests, and many said that they greatly enhanced their stay.

Many guests said that they would return to Art Resort Galleria Umberto based on the location alone. Right in the middle of it all, taxis, opera, shops and restaurants were at the doorstep. Not to mention the close proximity of popular attractions like Bourbon Tunnel, and Maschio Angoino.

Some guests had problems finding this hotel. With no exterior sign, guests were inconvenienced with a location guessing game. Even visitors accompanied by a taxi driver had a hard time locating the front entrance, so be prepared to do a little extra work for your stay. When guests finally arrived, they were sometimes further inconvenienced by an old elevator that required a coin deposit to work.

Guests were less than enthusiastic about the continental breakfast. Many commented that selections were too sweet for their liking, and that instead of pastries and cakes, they would have liked a few more savoury options. Another common complaint was that food would often run out.

From time to time, guests encountered inconveniences like a cold shower, weak Wi-Fi, and ineffective air-conditioning. While the majority of guests were able to avoid these nuisances, some were put off by amenities that should have been working better.
