APRÈS POST HOTEL in Stuben on the Arlberg From coaching inn to luxury hotel Stuben, the small village rising just before the climb to the Arlberg Pass, is also known as ‘the Emperor’s biggest Stube’ (Stube is a traditional Austrian common room). In fact, emperors and popes, princes and merchants, pilgrims and vagabonds, hemmers and wagoners appreciated Stuben as a rest station. It acted as a shelter protecting them from avalanches and storms. Similarily, the “Gasthaus zur Alten Post” was a beloved guesthouse in Stuben, and has been part of the area for centuries. Today the former coaching inn is run by the Brändle family. The APRÈS POST HOTEL is the ideal destination for anyone wanting a cosy yet exciting place to warm up in after a long day out and about on the mountains. Rooms & Suites Forty new, spacious Deluxe rooms and suites await our guests. All rooms are furnished with local alder wood, oak flooring, Divan beds, 40-inch flat-screen TVs, and include a comfortable bathroom and separate toilet. The partition between bathroom and bedroom is a warm Terrastone block, a modern interpretation of the historical tiled stove in the old Stube common room, the current POSTAMT Restaurant. The wall and floor geothermal heating also contribute to creating a cosy atmosphere. APRÈS moments in the ARLEN SPA In the ARLEN SPA you can relaxe in the finnish sauna, the steam bath, the bio sauna and the heated outdoor pool. You also find an ice fountain and a relaxation room.
