Situated just 15 yards from Quarteira’s lovely beaches, Kings Apartments offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in low-rise blocks surrounding the pool area and garden. The apartments are simply furnished, and feature en-suite bathrooms, fully equipped kitchenettes, satellite TV’s, in-room safes and free Wi-Fi. All have a private balcony, most with sea views. The star attraction at King’s Apartments is its lovely pool area. There are two pools, one for adults and the other for children. Reception is on hand to assist with tours, transfers and car and bike rentals. King’s has both a small snack bar and separate pool bar, offering drinks and light meals. For proper meals, those not self catering are close to the city centre and its restaurants and cafes. The main attraction must surely be the city’s wonderful beaches, just a couple of minutes away on foot. Faro Airport is about 14 miles drive away.
Of course it had to be the location that guests most appreciated during their stay at King's Apartments. It was described as just a couple of minutes from the beaches, which were after all what had brought most to the Algarve. Several guests also mentioned that it was close to some great bars and nightlife in general.
It seems guests were surprised by how well equipped the apartments were, especially the kitchens. Perhaps they had become used to “fully equipped” apartments ending up being poorly equipped elsewhere. At King's it seems they really had all they needed, in the kitchen and elsewhere.
Whatever other small problems guests may have had with their apartments, it does not seem that cleanliness was one of them. Again and again they mentioned that they were simply spotless when they checked in, and that it made a very good first impression.
Although, surprisingly, not mentioned very often, it was pointed out that the apartments do not have air conditioning. Of course the Algarve can get very hot in summer, so it may get uncomfortably hot at times.
Guests say there is a pretty lively bar on the ground floor that stays open until late. Also mentioned was that a circus had set-up right across from the apartments, causing some noise during the daytime. It is unclear if they set up in the same spot every year.
Though, of course, one does not travel to the Algarve to watch TV, several guests would have liked to be able to watch a little bit now and then. Unfortunately, it seemed that there were only Portuguese language stations available.
