Flanked by a number of supermarkets, it's not hard to eat well during your trip. Prices for fresh produce are reasonable. As there is a kitchen and fridge in the apartment, you can very well sit down to a good home cooked meal. There's a Lido just five minutes away and the rock cafe offers great steak and chips if you want to dine out on the cheap. Drinks are cheap as well.
The hotel is basic, nothing fancy but it will do if you are just looking for a place to lay your head. The apartments are spacious and will meet your basic needs. It's only a short walk into the main town with plenty to do, but far away enough to be quiet, especially during the evening hours.
The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, plates, saucepans, toaster, cups and glasses, and a compact freezer/fridge. The maintenance is good as well and they manage to take care of any issues you might have with the utilities.
The underground parking is a nightmare! You have to drive down an extremely steep hill that goes gets very narrow inside. Don't be surprised to see pillars with all types of car marks on them from cars running into them. Parking is tight; however, there is additional parking down the street.
Though the hotel staff try to keep-up, the accommodations could do with a bit of refurbishing. Don't be surprised if you find stains on the chairs, tattered carpeting, soiled bed linen, broken electrical sockets, and furniture with an old, battered appearance. Nonetheless, the building itself is in good condition.
The apartment complex is not really family oriented. There are no kids facilities, no kids' menus, and no nice park for kids to play. It's definitely better suited for adult travellers.
