Hotel Antillano (Cancun, Mexico)

Many of the previous guests who have stayed here have reported that they chose this hotel due to the location away from Cancun's busy resort centre and because you get more of a local experience, yet should you wish to visit the livelier areas or visit the beach then this is only a short bus ride away. The bus station is only a short walk away with buses going directly to the airport and there are also a number of shops including a supermarket located nearby.

Staff here could not be friendlier and more helpful including helping with luggage and also despite not all staff having perfect English they will try to give recommendations on what there is to see and do in the area.

The rooms have been described as very simple and very basic, but according to previous guests this is reflected in the price and you get what you pay for so it is excellent value for money and the rooms are well maintained and kept spotlessly clean by housekeeping staff every day including changing towels and even bed linen on a daily basis.

The air conditioning cannot be controlled independently in hotel rooms so you have to ask the front desk to do this and they are not always willing to do so therefore your room may be either too hot or too cold.

There are a number of bars in the surrounding streets that often play music which was found to be too loud by some previous guests.

The breakfast is included in the price, but there is limited choice and only a continental option with toast, muffins and juice amongst other things.
