Hotel Anselmus (Bruges, Belgium)

The hotel is within walking distance from the main city centre and the main tourist attractions. There are also plenty of places to go to eat and drink and spend time in. It is also in a nice area in the middle of a city.

Many guests thought the breakfast to be adequate for their needs as there was much variety and the choices were tasty. There were boiled eggs, cereals and bread, as well as tea or coffee available. Many guests were content with these morning choices.

Guests were content to have stayed in a place where the felt at ease, thanks to the staff members going out of their way for them to get acquainted with their surrounding and tourist places to see. Special requests like families with babies were promptly

Some guests thought the décor and style of the hotel to be a little too old-fashioned for their tastes. The rooms are too basic and furnishings cheap. It reminded them of a cheap hostel from the 80s and it was disappointing.

Some guests had a difficult time moving their luggage upstairs and some would have preferred an elevator to take their belongings to the rooms. Those who truly need an elevator will not find one in the hotel. The stairs are said to be steep.

Some guests complained the noise level to be very loud for them to get any rest. The busy street noise could be heard through the windows of people or cars. The rooms also did not block out the noise of people walking back and forth from other rooms.
