Some offer a resort experience, some a boutique concept experience, and some a family guesthouse feel. However, each one with a beautiful Nubian promise! Upon booking, you will get a picture of the house you will be accommodated at. NUBIAN CUISINE We specialize in Nubian food made by the village ladies. In this way, we empower the women and bring forward their tradition. Love is the main ingredient in this community cuisine. Nubians serve a big wholesome breakfast and a late lunch/early dinner. We encourage you to interact with the ladies as they love listening to your preferences. We give you a home-cooked experience. Options ( In House – Anakato Island – beach BBQ – Boat Trip ) NUBIAN SERVICE You will notice pictures of Bob Marley around Nubia. That gives you a sign that Nubia is a very laid back Rasta-Land. The culture of the village people is calm, laid back, and very restful. They go with the flow – allowing you to eventually go with the flow. Nubians are known as Black People with a White Heart. Things are always magical in Nubia but things can sometimes take time! To make your stay easier, we advise you to please let reception know of your plans and needs first thing in the morning or even better the night before! This comes to everything, your meals, your tours, your laundry etc. NUBIAN SAFETY Nubia is known as one of the safest places in the world. Many travelers have attested to this. Nubian people are still very cultural and non-materialistic. However, we would encourage you to please pack valuables away and not leave them lying around your room. ANAKATO MARKET We are developing a community and sustainable development initiative for the upcoming Anakato Market. This will have signature handmade cultural products with unique design and development aspects. Our aim is to bring you something uniquely Nubian, and empowering local women and communities in the process. We will focus on products that have a positive impact on the environment, and low wastage ratio, with upcycled goods. Our market will also have a herbal element with our focus on Herbal Green Coffees, coffee-making workshops etc. ANAKATO ECO INITIATIVE Anakato is also looking into Eco-Friendly and Organic Projects. We have started with an Anakato Maghrabi Farm project where fresh milk and fresh cheeses come from, as well as a ‘Farm to Table’ meal option (it is in our packages). We are spreading further into the Anakato Salad Bar, as well as other initiatives like balanced PH drinking water for you entire wellbeing. Our aim is to be clean green and serene!
