Hotel Anacapri Holiday Resort Apartments (Surfers Paradise, Australia)

This is a great and affordable base for everyone, including families. Kids in particular just love the pool. Prices are geared to appeal to families – and they do! It’s an easy walk into town or to the beach. There are plenty of restaurants and shops, all within walking distance, so the location is ‘spot on’.

Apartments tend to be on the spacious side and many have glorious views. Parking is a joy - and well managed with security in mind.

Members of staff are just great. Very friendly and welcoming. If you are here with kids, it won’t be long before you need to check out the local theme parks. The tour desk, here, will sort you out with tickets for the ones you want to visit – thus cutting out hassle and time wastage on the day itself.

There are very limited supplies of essentials such as toilet paper and washing up liquid. The accommodation is ‘self-catering’, though and they do draw your attention to this. It's worth taking particular note and come prepared.

Accommodation isn’t well cleaned prior to arrival. Stains on the walls and finger prints on the windows are among the tell-tale signs. Mould and someone else’s hair are also in evidence. Not impressive at all.

There is a problem in that the air conditioning is only in the living room area. The bedroom only has ceiling fans, which aren’t as good. They’ve embraced totally, the ‘self-catering’ concept ... so there’s no hint of an on-site breakfast.
