The hotel offers easy access to Odawa Casino, as well as the shopping and dining options in Petoskey's downtown area. Other points of interest like the Little Traverse Bay Golf Club and Avalanche Bay Indoor Water Park are less than 15 minutes away.

The property is definitely in need of some work. Guests complained of rusty railings, cracked concrete, old or missing doors and chipped, faded paint throughout the hotel. The building gives off a general sense that it is old and outdated.

Guests did not feel welcome upon arriving, and the staff were reluctant to help when guests needed assistance or raised concerns about the accommodations. When staff members did help, they seemed to act as though they were being inconvenienced.
