If you're hoping to take in some of the most glorious views the Lake District has to offer, look no further than this hotel. Lake House guests were simply stunned by the glorious views offered from some of the hotel rooms over the charming front garden and over Lake Windermere and the dreamy, rolling hills beyond.
Guests were delighted with the Lake House's clean and tidy rooms, offering modern, tasteful decor and big comfortable beds.They found the little extras made them feel even more at home, with the hotel providing free coffee and tea anytime guests would like, as well as a selection of DVD's for those wanting to cosy up in the room for the night.
If you like to take your furry friend with you when you travel, look no further than the dog friendly Lake House. Animal loving guests were delighted to have their canines welcomed with open arms by the owners, who also happen to be big dog lovers. Not only were pets allowed to stay, they were also given special treats and provisions.
Some guests observed tired looking carpets, chipped paint, with others finding their furniture and mattresses to be overly worn, described as feeling springy and even waterbed-like. Still, many of the guests mentioning these problems felt the hotel was wonderful overall, and in an unbeatable location.
While many guests expressed having had a wonderful breakfast here, others were far less impressed. These diners mentioned being disappointed by being served tinned fruit, and an overly oily cooked brekky.
While many guests had a wonderful view of the water, some guests found the promised lake view from their particular rooms to be somewhat deflating, with trees blocking the way. Others described having to crane their necks just to spot the lake out of small windows.
