Hotel Alqush Downtown (Prague, Czech Republic)

Rooms are beautiful, spacious and extremely clean. Beds are large and comfortable, perfect for a good night's rest after a long day.

The hotel isn't located in Prague's Old Town but this isn't a bad thing. It's in a safe, quiet neighbourhood with plenty restaurants nearby that offer better quality and prices than many in the tourist areas. You can walk to lots of city attractions within ten minutes (like the Opera House and National Museum) and you're about 30 minutes on foot from Old Town, so it's easily reachable. If you do need a break from walking, the metro and tram is a five-minute walk away. It's a great spot that allows you to be near the action yet away from the tourist bustle.

The Alqush Downtown Hotel front desk staff and concierge are very knowledgeable and informative about the neighbourhood itself and about Prague; you can rely on them for good recommendations on dining, city attractions and transit routes. Nothing is too much trouble; you'll feel well cared for the entire stay!

It's uncommon to find a hotel that charges for in-room coffee/tea sachets. This should be a complimentary offering. You can always grab some at a nearby supermarket if you want to avoid the surcharge.

There are limited TV channels and most are in German and Czech. You likely aren't in Prague to sit in front of the TV but it would be nice to catch the news in English once and a while.

The breakfast room at Alqush Downtown Hotel is rather small and often gets crowded. That said, it's tidy and the wait staff are very friendly.
