Hotel Alpenrose (L´Alpe d´Huez, France)

There is lots of space in the rooms and they are very cosy and comfortable to give you that home from home feel and with some stunning views from the balcony looking out over the mountains. They are ideal for families with the bedrooms and bathrooms contained in one suite and housekeeping do an excellent job of making sure that the rooms are kept clean and immaculate every day.

With a range of different facilities at the hotel you should have everything that you need such as the outdoor heated pool or the steam room which help you to unwind and relax after a day on the slopes and the gym should you want to have a workout furthermore for the summer months there are also tennis courts.

The food served has received many positive mentions with breakfast in particular very popular. A cooked option is served featuring sausages, bacon and egg etc. and there is also a lighter choice with fruit, cereals, yoghurt and all the usual fare.

There are conflicting reports about the hotel having a bar with recent reviews saying that there isn't one yet others say that there is a bar, but it only opens from late afternoon onwards.

The resort centre with its bars and restaurants is a brisk 15-minute walk away which some guests felt was a little too far.

There are positive reports of staff who have been described as very polite and friendly, but it has also been reported that seasonal staff are not very knowledgeable about the local area.
