The town of Maleme may be small, but it still provides all that a tourist might want or need. There are several pubs and restaurants within walking distance, as well as supermarkets and quaint shops. For those wanting more action, trips to the nearby busier town of Chania will give that action and local buses travel all over the region.

The host here is both genial and welcoming. He really goes out of his way for guest pleasure. He often hangs out at the pool and bar, chatting with guests like a true host, and not just a manager and owner of the property concerned with business aspects.

The units provide all that you'll need for a longer stay. They are spacious with kitchens that are functional. The pool area is lovely and the bar lively and fun. There are also many other recreation amenities.

This location is not right on the beach. You'll have about a 10-minute walk. If you are there to surf rather than sunbathe on the sand, you'll have to walk a bit farther for those waves.

This is a basic stay with no frills to the features. It's a standard unit of bed and board. The air-conditioning doesn't extend into the bedrooms. The WiFi is only for the common areas and there are limited TV channel choices, especially those that speak English.

The hotel is close to the main road and gets a lot of that noise. Also the bar hours are late and they sometimes have loud music. This can interfere with the sleeping habits of those who turn in early.
