Hotel Alcaravan Medellín (Itagüí, Colombia)

The location is superb as it is very easy to get around. You are also away from the heavy tourist area while being a short distance from the hub of the city. The Ayura Metro Station is very near and can take you anywhere you want to go. Shopping and restaurants are nearby, there’s even a casino, and the beach is a couple of blocks away. There is a garage available for parking and a Jacuzzi and sauna. Unbelievable for the price you pay regardless of your currency!

It’s like they specially ordered the staff with some type of congeniality program because their customer service is second to none. Staff members are attentive, cordial, and on the ball. Their main concern is for your comfort.

Rooms are clean and well maintained. In fact, the entire hotel is kept in good order. The room is comfortable, bed linens are clean, and sheets are crisp. Showers are large and there is a large flat screen TV mounted to the wall.

The outside noise can be quite disturbing and there’s some interior noise as well. The hotel is in the Mahyorista vicinity where there is a popular truck stop, and the trucks are on the go day and night. Breakfast preparation can be heard loudly around the hotel as well, and they start very early!

There’s no air conditioning, so if you go when it’s really hot, it could get very uncomfortable.

Seems like the billiard table is only for decoration as there are no pockets for the balls!
