Hotel Albergo Doni (Venice, Italy)

Some guests enjoyed staying in a classy and old-fashioned Venice-style hotel. It was decorated with a period décor that made them feel as though they had traveled back in time.

The hotel is located within a few minutes' walk from a boat stop and from the main St. Mark's Square. It is also walking distance to the Rialto Bridge and it is across from a canal. There are also various shops and eateries in the central area.

Some guests were happy they were able to see the canal from the comfort of their rooms. They found it to be very ideal to be able to see the water that makes Venice famous.

Some guests were surprised to find there was no Wi-Fi available for their accommodations. They expect this amenity to be available, especially in s tourist city. They were very surprised they had to use the Internet in the corridor or reception area.

Many guests were disappointed to find there were a lack of amenities in the hotel. Some complained they had no air-conditioning, there were shared bathrooms, no lift and a poor breakfast, which made for upset customers. Many would have preferred private bathrooms.

Many guests found the complimentary breakfast to be a disappointment. They found it was too basic and lacking some much needed items like good bread, jam and some cold meats. Improving on the offered items of coffee and pastries would improve the breakfast.
