Akasha Mountain Retreat is a picturesque Cape-Maroc style villa in a serene rural setting with breathtaking views over the Langeberg & secluded Duiwenhoks Dam. To guarantee your peace & privacy, just one group is hosted on the 130 hectare nature farm at any time – each group of up to 10 persons gets the entire 4-bedroom villa to itself. Located just 12km north of the N2 near Heidelberg, Western Cape - a most tranquil off-grid location in which to disconnect from digital & reconnect with companions, nature and self. Your host lives 500m from the villa and is on call 24/7. The villa consists of a 3-bedroom / 2-bathroom house (fully equipped for self-catering) and a stand-alone suite as the 4th bedroom, with en-suite bathroom. Meals on request, by prior arrangement. Free grocery delivery service every 2nd day. No Wi-Fi, but there is good cellphone reception at the villa. A workspace with Wi-Fi is available in a private cottage at the owners’ home, 500m up the road. The villa is pet friendly. Solar-powered, with a standby generator. Braai facilities, firewood included. Outdoor activities include hikes, horse encounters, birdwatching, stargazing. Bring your own swimming towels & mountain bikes. Marimbas & drums are provided. Live instrumental guitar music optional. Day trips within a 70km radius are tailored to guests’ interests and interweave local history, myths & legends. Situated next to the Boosmansbos Wilderness Area (a top biodiversity hotspot and Unesco World Heritage site).
