Hotel Aiguille Grive Chalets (Les Arcs, France)

The hotel is right on the slopes, which allowed guests to ski right up to the from door of the main building or their private chalet. Guests loved being so close to the slopes, both for the opportunity to ski and because of the breathtaking views.

Reviews had nothing but nice things to say about the hotel's restaurant. They reported that the breakfast is very good, and that the evening meal was both delicious and highly romantic, with the candlelit restaurant and the views of the mountains.

Guests were generally quite pleased with the accommodations, which they described as being very comfortable, perfectly cleaned, and appointed with everything they could have wanted.

Because the hotel is on the slopes, there is no parking available and the hotel is not accessible by car. Most guests were perfectly willing to accept this, but they were bothered that the only place to park their cars was in rather pricey paid lots. Some said they would have preferred it if the hotel offered a remote, free lot for their guests.

While most guests agreed the rooms are lovely, a few noted that the combination of dark coloured furnishings and lights that weren't quite bright enough made the rooms feel very dark. They would have preferred higher wattage lights or a lighter colour scheme.

Previous guests noted that while there are things near the hotel beyond the slopes to explore, like the nearby wellness centre and the village, the isolated, mountainside location of the hotel made those things difficult to get to.
