Things get off on the right foot with new decoration and carpets in the lobby area. Cleanliness is obviously at the top of their list here because everywhere is maintained in a spotless style. Hats off to the hard working cleaners - who are always friendly and pleasant too.
The pool and fitness areas are impressive and - just like everything else here - very clean and well maintained.
There's plenty of space in the apartment and you are struck by the quality of finishes and high standard appliances. Yes, there are cheaper places around but, be warned, they can be cramped and not very clean. In short - you get what you pay for! The front desk staff couldn't be nicer. They only serve to add to the attraction of staying here.
Standard-wise, apartments are light years away from a student's college dormitory lifestyle. There are quite a few wealthy kids here, though, with more money than sense. They leave plenty of mess and are very noisy. As a rule of thumb, these characters float to the top and to apartments at higher floor level. If they're allowed to grow up, hopefully their behaviour will become less offensive.
Parking is ‘public' and next door to the apartments. You can get there internally though. Yes, there's quite a hefty cost involved and there's no responsibility for any damage or theft.
This is the China Town area, there's a homeless shelter around the corner and the outside ‘fragrance' can be significantly less than appealing. There are some alternative apartments you know - just round the corner and in what appears to be a better setting. It's a risk, though.
