Rock Solid Backpackers is a colourful laid back hostel, located right beside a wall-climbing centre in downtown Rotorua, less than a ten-minute walk to the Polynesian Spa. Ranging from private dorms to family rooms, each features floor-to-ceiling windows, bed linen, heating, and a wardrobe. Bathroom facilities are shared, and a reading light is available for each bed. Have fun with a game of table tennis or pool, or take some time out and meet new friends in the shared lounge. Guests also have the opportunity to use the coin-operated washing machines or head downstairs to the fully licenced Basement Arts Cinema. A communal kitchen provides sufficient facilities for guests to prepare their own meals, or head across the road to Starbucks or Capers Epicurean for a bite to eat, and some great coffee. Tamaki Maori Village, Rotorua Museum, and the beautiful Government Gardens are all within a 15-minute walk of Rock Solid Backpackers. Rotorua Central Mall is also within an easy five-minute walk.
