Holiday Inn Winchester Southeast-Historic Gateway, An Ihg Hotel (Winchester, USA)

Both the pubic areas and the rooms have recently been renovated, using one of Holiday Inn’s most contemporary interior designs. Guests have not failed to notice, and overwhelmingly gave the design the thumbs up, saying it made the feel like they were staying in a very trendy hotel.

One of the very first things guests mentioned in their reviews was that their room was spotlessly clean on check in. Even those who described themselves as having very high standards in this area were relieved that they didn’t have to ask for additional cleaning or do some spot cleaning themselves before they felt comfortable.

Guests clearly liked the location of the hotel. They reported that the proximity of the interstate made the hotel easy to find after what was often a long and tiring trip, and also that it was convenient for when they were ready to set off to an appointment or attraction.

A number of guests were disappointed that breakfast was not included at this hotel, like it is at many other hotels in this category. There is a restaurant onsite were breakfast can be ordered, but some had not expected or budgeted for this expense.

Quite a few guests reported that they could easily hear even regular sounds, like people talking, from adjacent rooms. They felt that no or inadequate soundproofing measures had been taken.

A number of guest reported finding the Wi-Fi service very unreliable. Sometimes they simply couldn’t connect to the system. Those with an urgent need for connectivity may need to relay on their phone’s data plan.
