The en-suite rooms, some of which have mountain, partial ocean and full ocean views, are equipped with a variety of modern amenities including 39-inch televisions, DVD players, refrigerators and coffee makers. All of the rooms have free Wi-Fi access whilst some feature fire places and spa tubs. Suites add separate living areas and the self-contained units have private decks and fully-equipped kitchens. Guests staying at The Seaside Oceanfront Inn can relax and soak up the rays in the hotel’s garden and take advantage of free on-site parking. A wide range of seafood dishes is on offer at Maggie’s on the Prom Restaurant whilst guests can enjoy an extensive selection of drinks at the bar. Seaside Aquarium, Seaside Carousel Mall and around Market are all in close proximity to the hotel.
Many said that they did not have to use their cars for the duration of their stay as everything they wanted to see was just minutes away from the inn. Guests appreciated having the beach literally on their doorstep whilst those who wanted to sample the local bars, restaurants and cafes found it convenient being in close proximity to the popular Main Street.
Guests were able to enjoy picturesque views of the mountains or the ocean depending on which side of the hotel their rooms were located. Many were pleased to report that they had all the necessary mod-cons in their en-suites such as Keurig coffee makers and Blu-Ray DVD players which made their stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.
Guests who dined at the on-site restaurant complimented the quality of the food stating that the dishes were well-prepared using fresh local ingredients. The restaurant has a patio and during finer weather many enjoyed having their meals outdoors whilst taking in the scenic views.
Guests were disappointed to find that there were only a few parking spaces available in front of the hotel which meant that many had to leave their cars a couple of streets away. Quite a few objected to having to carry their cases from their cars to the hotel building.
Several maintenance-related problems were reported by the guests ranging from faulty jet tubs through to broken lights and mouldy grouting. Guests also mentioned that some of the electrical equipment in their rooms was faulty and also objected to slow draining sinks.
