Customer service is a highlight of the Outer Banks Inn - according to nearly all past guests. The staff members representing the hotel are said to be professional, cordial and accommodating at all times.

With a position that is a short drive from the beach, most former visitors were happy with the hotel's location. An assortment of restaurants, shops and attractions are within walking distance of the accommodation, and the likes of Roanoke Island and Nags Head are in close proximity.

Despite the rooms not being the most well received overall, previous guests appreciated how well-appointed the accommodations are at the Outer Banks Inn. Each room features a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and flat-screen television.

According to some past visitors, the rooms at the Outer Banks Inn were somewhat outdated and not in the best condition. Furthermore, hygiene issues have been occasionally reported in the past, from minor problems like stains on the mattresses to major concerns such as bugs and musty smells.

The exclusion of an elevator within the property was an understandable problem for numerous former guests - especially in the case of those staying on the higher floors of the hotel.

Based on the opinion of various previous visitors, the continental breakfast served each morning by the Outer Banks Inn was a disappointment. With supposedly an abundance of carbs and little in the way of alternative options, the breakfast is generally considered too limited in both variety and quality.
