Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa (Tokyo, Japan)

The hotel is decorated in a modern and stylish fashion and the surroundings are gorgeous; the architecture and design of the hotel is clean and contemporary white the hotel's traditional Japanese garden, which spans 20,000-square-meters is breath-taking, scenic and the perfect setting for guests to relax in. The large, well-maintained swimming pool overlooks the garden, as do some of the on-site restaurants. Guests were very taken with the hotel's aesthetic and found that this was a positive aspect of their stay.

Located in close proximity to Shinagawa Station, from which guests can get the bullet train to other areas of the city, and within walking distance of the city center, guests are ideally situated to explore all that the area has to offer which includes a wide variety of restaurants and shops. Guests can take in the beautiful surroundings and immerse themselves in the culture of the city before returning to the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel with relative ease.

The staff are extremely friendly and personable, providing great customer service, going out of their way to be accommodating and attentive. They are happy to provide information about the surrounding area, organise a number of services and will happily respond to any requests or queries guests may have.

The hotel's many on-site restaurants are all excellent but rather expensive. However, there are many restaurants outside the hotel from which guests can purchase an affordable meal.

The Wi-Fi is somewhat unreliable and slow in its connection speed and guests found this to be a minor annoyance.

Some guests found the decor in the rooms to be dated and in need of updating though this did not negatively impact their stay.
