A good first class hotel with a grandiose facade and traditional throughout.The majority of the rooms are medium and in good condition with the bathrooms in fair condition. There is carpeted flooring throughout with dark wood furnishings. The remaining rooms, about fifteen percent, are large, in very good condition and traditional in decor. The majority of the rooms are overlooking the main square.The lobby is small to medium in size and is traditional throughout with dark wood and antique furnishings. It incorporates a couple of small seating areas. The restaurant is situated on the ground floor and serves local and international cuisine. It has an antique fireplace, dark wood furnishings throughout and four large oil paintings. A traditional colonial structure built in 1911. It has a grandiose structure in keeping with the other buildings in the main square.The hotel is situated in the very centre of La Paz in Plaza De Armas, opposite the main cathedral and the goverment palace and all areas of interest, markets and shopping areas.
