Fenals Garden Hotel (Lloret de mar, Spain)

Apart from comments about the staff, the pool is perhaps the aspect that is most positively received. Guests find it a relaxing and cool oasis after a hot day on the beach, or exploring the nearby towns. For sun worshippers, it is of course the sun beds that get the most mention. There were no reports of noted shortages.

An overwhelming majority of guests had only the very best things to say about the staff at the hotel. They are described as kind, caring and always ready to assist guests in any way they could.

Again and again guests mentioned how clean their rooms were on arrival, and how clean they seemed to remain during their holiday. This definitely tied in with their high regard of the staff, who they believed did an excellent job keeping everything spotlessly clean.

Though opinions of the noise level at the hotel are mixed, the balance definitely seems to lie with the opinion that it is too loud. The hotel is right on a busy road, so inevitably the noise of the cars passing by reach up to the rooms. Guests also mention that weekends bring many revellers out onto the street, resulting in shouting from the streets below.

While this is noted on the hotel's website, most guests who mentioned it thought charging extra for these items was unreasonable, and a throwback to a different era.

While not often mentioned, some guests do claim that the hotels décor does need some updating. It was not that they thought it was dirty or decrepit, just that it was dated.
