Eremito, Hotelito del Alma, has been renovated with thousands of stones, following the ancient art of medieval hermitage. It is located in Umbria the heart of spirituality in Italy. This is a land and birthplace of Saint Francis of Assisi, of its wonderful monasteries where the deeper aspects of life were contemplated. The hotel stands on top a hill in a natural reserve. In this majestic isolation between the sky, the hills and the river, its silence is fit perfect for people who want to completely disconnect from any stresses associated with their electronic devices in a healthy digital detox. This is a special place where one can unwind and regenerate one’s body and spirit. The uniqueness of this place is marked by a peculiarity. Just like in the monasteries of the Middle Ages, Majectic Isolation has only one “French size” bed in the small rooms or “Celluzze”, this is how the rooms/cells used to be called. Today, as in past centuries, although furnished with the necessary comforts for a relaxing stay, the rooms maintain the austere essence of ancient monasteries. There is a small area inside where one can relax in a steam room and small, heated water pool dug out from the rock. Within the grounds there is a patch dedicated to growing fruits, herbs and vegetables. No chemicals are used insuring the genuiness of the products used in our cooking. What we don’t produce, we buy from small bio-friendly farms in the region. The menu is vegetarian. It is a fixed menu and many of the recipes are chosen from ancient mediterranean monastic traditions, when monks were self-sufficient with their gardens and fields. In Spring and Summer the meals are served “al fresco” in the garden which overlooks the beautiful green valley.
