In 2013, a cosy high-quality holiday home was completed in Western Saaremaa which can be used during all seasons. Mailase Holiday Home has central heating; there are 4 bedrooms with a total of 10 beds. On the ground floor, you will find a kitchen that is adjoined to a living room which hold everything you might possibly need. The terrace that runs parallel to the living room can be used for barbecues. A large sauna and its anteroom and separate exit onto the terrace contribute to a perfect sauna experience. This area has a long history which can be seen by ancient stone crosses on the territory of Mõisaküla which date back to a thousand years BC. During the past century, the region is famous for manufacturing lime and tar. Exciting surroundings of the holiday home offer the joy of discovery for both those who like nature and history. In the woods one can see rocks from the ice age, Swedish time rock assemblages and plentiful lime burning sites. A theme trail passing through the woods has been created for exhibiting the latter, where the lime manufacturing process is introduced. Additionally, the forest surrounding the holiday home offers perfect conditions for health sport, walking with a baby carriage and spending quality time with family or enjoying peace and quiet on your own. The holiday home is surrounded by a mossed stone fence. Sheep can be seen and heard on alvars behind the fence. Your privacy is ensured by a large landscaped yard together with a driveway and parking lot in the west. Mailase holiday home, built in 2012, is a two-storey house with spacious rooms which are heated with solar power. A building with a central heating means that the rooms are comfortably warm throughout the year and wood logs are only used for heating the sauna and the fireplace in order to create a relaxing atmosphere. The whole two-storey house is the holiday home. On the second floor there are 3 bedrooms, two of which have a private balcony and seating places. The third bedroom has French windows. On the first floor there is 1 bedroom and an open kitchen-living room with everything that is needed for a nice holiday: dishes, coffee machine, stove, fridge, TV set, etc. Adjacent to the living room there is a spacious terrace which can be combined with the living room in summertime, so that the inner and outer space would form a unified whole. The terrace has a table and upholstered chairs for comfortable relaxation or romantic dinner at sunset. The living room has a fireplace-furnace, the warmth of which fills everybody with the sense of satisfaction. There is a sauna with a resting room and a separate access to the terrace on the first floor, so that you can enjoy the sauna experience to the fullest. The terrace doors can be opened or closed to combine or separate the rooms, joining different companies and enjoying the evening together. Children are also not forgotten. There is a children’s play area in the yard with sandbox, trampoline, swings and climbing facilities.
