Located 18km from Ranua town, 15km from the Ranua Zoo and right next to the Simojoki river a hidden haven for peaceful seeking families, as soon as you step in the area, you enjoy a fulfilling silence. You can find an official snowmobile route about 2km away from Hommala, from where you can ride a snowmobile for hundreds of kilometers during the winter if you wish. There’s also the Ranua’s famous cloudberry mires nearby. The structure of the area – a main 2-floor wooden cabin from 2010 that is situated in a thriving green area with private yards, a separate wooden garage and a lovely sauna by the river. The main building is characterized by large spaces, an open living, dining, and kitchen area, bedrooms, bathroom and indoor sauna. On the first floor there’s beds for 5 people, and 8 beds for adults on the second floor + a bed for children (The 2nd floor has steep stairs, not suitable for reduced mobility people) In summer, light flows in from all sides of the house, all of them with full-height glazing. With control over the space and precision over the details, and a love for a country where, in the scarcity of natural light in winter, the host of Arctic Dreams house takes to excel in the use of dark and light tones in The Hommala to enjoy the ultra-luxe surrounding nature and peace at its best under the northern lights or midnight sun.
