This secluded and charming 2 bedroom cabin, circa 1820, is located on 70 acres in Cumberland County Virginia. The Cabin shares amenities with an historic home, VueMont, built in 1789. Kennels, stabling and pasture board are on the grounds to welcome horses and hunting enthusiasts. Trails connect to the state forest. Attractions within 10 miles include, Bear Creek Lake State Park and the James River. Attractions within 50 miles include Monticello, Appomattox, Yogaville, and wineries and breweries in Goochland, Lousia, Fluvanna, Albemarle, and Nelson counties. The cabin includes 1200 square feet, a full kitchen with refrigerator, gas stove, utensils, pots, pans and dishes, a large wood burning fireplace, and screened porch. The bedrooms are upstairs and include a full bed in each room with linens. The stairs are steep and rustic. The full bath is downstairs. It has a claw foot tub shower. Gas heat and fans are also available. There is no TV. Verizon offers the best cell service. This unique property is perfect for birding, writing, retreating, and connecting with nature.
