Estalagem Eira do Serrado is a 4 star hotel in the heart of Madeira. Set on a cliff top is has swooping views onto the valley below and the quaint village of Curral das Freiras. The subtropical Island and the Nun's valley area offer dense vegetation with trails ideal for hiking. Funchal, the Islands capital city, is 12 kilometres from the hotel. The 25 guestrooms all have ceiling to floor windows leading to their own private balcony, air conditioning, cable TV, a safe to rent and ensuite bathrooms with a hairdryer. There is an allergy free room and all guestrooms are non smoking. Hotel facilities include a sauna, a jacuzzi leading to a terrace with sunbeds and a panoramic view, a games room with a billiard table, a lounge with chimney for relaxing or reading and a shop with local handicraft products. Meeting facilities cater for 25 guests. Fax and photocopying services are available on request. The "a la carte" restaurant and bar offers panoramic views and serves International and regional menus as well as a buffet breakfast. Airport transfers can be organised for a fee in a small minibus.
