This hotel is within walking distance of lots of great restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues. Many of Columbus' most popular tourist destinations are within walking distance while others are only a few miles away. And because I 70 is just a few blocks away, getting in and out of the property is quick and easy.

The guest rooms at this hotel are spacious and well-appointed with upscale furnishings, dining and sitting areas and pull-out sofas. This is great is you are traveling with more than one person or your entire family because everyone has room to stretch out and relax.

Other than service animals, DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Columbus Downtown does not accept pets which is unfortunate for those who like to travel with their favorite four-legged friends.

There is a fee for WiFi in the guest rooms here, which can be problematic if you are using multiple devices and don't want to upgrade or pay a fee. Luckily, the Internet connection in the public spaces is free.

Sometimes the housekeeping here is OK but sometimes it really misses the mark. Carpeting that needs better vacuuming, trash left behind and hairs left in places they shouldn't be can detract from your stay.
