The little things really do count.

Travelling round the island on foot or by car or bicycle, can be tiring. It’s a really nice touch and much appreciated, to find a complimentary bottle of water in the room, on your return.

Free parking.

Sometimes taken for granted, free parking is a real boon, particularly if just coming off or about to go on the various ferry links to the mainland.

Helpful, informative, couldn’t do more. They deserve a medal – or at least a pay increase!

A hard night, but no day in sight.

Beds are really hard which is OK for some but, for the rest, makes for extremely sleepless nights.

Jacob’s ladder couldn’t have been steeper than the stairs to the room. Not for the elderly and certainly not for anyone with a disability.

Noise from outside is surprisingly minimal, give the hotel’s central location. Inside though, walls are thin with little, if any soundproofing. Consequently, there can be a noise problem, the level of which depends upon the consideration shown by other gu
