Each room features hardwood floors, a Jacuzzi, shower with massage jets, LED tv, and free Wi-Fi. The Berg Luxury Hotel Hotel offers a front desk that is manned 24/7, a multilingual staff, concierge assistance booking tours, reservations for the opera and theatre. The breakfast offerings include fresh fruits, both sweet and savoury foods, which can be enjoyed in the beautiful patio room, or in one’s suite. Lunch and dinner items can be ordered ala carte, and will be served in your room. Within minutes of the hotel guests can enjoy the Villa Borghese, or walk to Goethe House, Keats-Shelley House, numerous cathedrals, shops, and restaurants.
Many hotels that call themselves ‘luxury' do not truly earn that designation. The Berg Luxury Hotel does, from the luxury linens, to the world class service, all guests agree that the rooms are exquisite and the bathrooms, especially the showers, are legendary.
When in Rome, you have to try and stay at this hotel, almost all guests state. It is literally within a few minutes of many of the most famous sites in Rome, including the Vatican and the Trevi Fountain. Some of the best restaurants are less than a few hundred feet from the hotel's door.
Many hotels have walls that are paper thin. That is not the case with the Berg Luxury Hotel. The luxury extends to the thickness of the walls, too. No hearing your neighbour sneeze, or someone walking around above you. Easy to believe you are home.
The hotel advertises its Wi-Fi, but it does not work in most of the rooms, or even in the common rooms. The only internet that works is apparently at the front desk. If you have tickets to purchase, or need to make important reservations, have concierge do it for you, or call to make reservations in person.
Guests were shocked to learn that they can't control their own thermostats in their rooms. The air conditioner and heaters are controlled by the front desk. If you need heat, or more air, you will have to call and hope they will comply.
Many guests had issues with the management of the hotel. Some arrived to find that their room had been overbooked, and they were whisked away to a lesser hotel. Still, others, were charged hidden fees for using the room.
