Dhevatara Beach Hotel (Grand' Anse, Seychelles)

Guests report that they never book enough days to stay here. There is just so much to appreciate about both the hotel and the area where it is located, that a week is not enough.

Everyone seems to be reporting that when they arrive at the hotel, it is as if they are removed from the larger world for a while. Lying on the white sand beaches, swimming in the crystal clear water, eating the freshest of ingredients makes it very easy to turn off the mobile and relax. You won't be tempted to bring work with you when you visit.

You will want to take the option called ‘halfboard' which covers some of your meals while staying there. The food is world-class, and even the breakfasts are events in themselves. Be warned, you WILL miss the food.

If you travel to Dhevatara Beach Hotel in June you will be disappointed. This is the monsoon season and the bugs are at their worst. The beach, too, is often strewn with algae, and the weather doesn't care if you are on vacation.

Guests have voiced their disapproval of the lack of follow through by the staff. While they were very friendly, when concerns or requests were made, they most often were not carried out in a timely fashion, causing many guests to have to hunt down their own toiletries, make repairs themselves, or bring towels from their rooms to the beach.

Most guests expressed disappointment at the offerings by the spa, which do not match the advertised amenities. Guests were often told that they should go to neighbouring resorts to use those spa facilities, instead.
