Days Hotel by Wyndham University Ave SE (Minneapolis, USA)

Not only is the hotel close to the University or a Vikings game, it's also not far from the medical center and other places around Minneapolis that you may want to visit.

While it doesn't offer an entire smorgasbord, guests remarked that the breakfast buffet was adequate. Plus, since it costs nothing, the price was hard to beat. Furthermore, visitors enjoyed having both hot and cold breakfast choices available.

Visitors remarked that the staff does a good job of taking care of their visitors. Whether it's recommending places to eat, advising them about the free shuttle service or just providing information about Minneapolis, they do an excellent job.

Some guests mentioned that the faucet in the shower is rather fickle. It goes from scalding hot to ice cold rather easily. Others mentioned that the shower didn't work or that the bathtub drains extremely slow. Some guests mentioned toilets that ran constantly or faucets that leaked. So be advised using the water here may prove problematic.

Guests cited issues such as small rooms, dated paint, dirty carpet, old sheets, old TVs, worn-out towels, loose electrical sockets, cigarette holes in linens, loud HVAC units, noisy refrigerators and non-smoking rooms that smelled of cigarettes smoke. In other words, guests remarked that the hotel just needs a good refurbishing.

During special events, the price of this hotel goes up (as with most accommodations). However, many guests feel that the price they're paid when combined with the condition of the hotel simply isn't justified. So while it may be close to places like the TCF Bank Stadium, some guests mention the price far exceeds the value they received.
