Danfords Hotel & Marina (Port Jefferson, USA)

Guests were complimentary about the hotel's interior most notably the lobby which left a positive impression on many. The on-site restaurant has a deck with wonderful views over the water and many guests said that they thoroughly enjoyed having their meals on the patio whilst admiring the picturesque scenery. .

Many who stayed at this hotel appreciated being within walking distance of the shops, bars and other attractions. Those who wanted to travel further afield were pleased to find the ferry port a short walk away from Danfords. .

Guests described their rooms as spacious and were pleased to find that their beds were decent size and that they had plenty of storage space to stow away all their belongings. The bathrooms were also said to be large with shelves where guests could place their toiletries. .

Those whose rooms were overlooking the street objected to being disturbed by the traffic noise which prevented them from getting a good night's sleep. Guests also said that the soundproofing in the rooms was rather poor as they could hear everything going on in the adjoining suites as well as those above them. .

Some of the guests were disappointed to find that their rooms had views of the roof and some of the parking lot and refuse area. If you are keen on a water view it's advisable to let the staff know prior to booking. .

The air-conditioning units were said to be old and dated and many guests said that the noise from the units was very loud and intrusive. Some also noted that they were inadequate when it came to cooling down the rooms. .
