Guests whose rooms were situated on the upper floors complained about the state of the lift which they said was quite old and in very poor condition. As the lift was slow and rickety, many guests chose to climb the stairs in order to avoid using it.
The communal areas in the hotel including the reception area, corridors and lounge were described as looking tired and dated.
