Guests appreciated the fact that the hotel is close to Kings Dominion, since you can walk there in less than five minutes. The proximity to the highway makes travel throughout the area a breeze, and guests also liked the convenience of having the 7-Eleven and a few restaurants within walking distance. As several pointed out, this hotel is an ideal home base when visiting the State Fair of Virginia and the Highland Games, both of which are only a 6-minute drive away.

As guests noted, most of the staff is friendly and the front-desk employees try to be as accommodating as possible. The housekeepers were also said to be efficient and polite and did their best to follow up on special requests.

With the affordable rates, guests found the hotel to be a good option, especially with the comfortable beds and the free shuttle services to Kings Dominion.

Several guests commented on the fact that the hallways are covered with old, stained carpeting and appear quite dark and uninviting. They also stated that the rooms are starting to age with the bathrooms being the biggest issue.

Some guests pointed out that the rooms don't seem to be soundproofed, as it was easy to hear other guests through the thin walls. They also observed noise from the parking lot as well as trains passing by, since the tracks run right behind the property.
