Luxury, 5-star rated boutique accommodation in the heart of rural Wairarapa. The Summit Lodge is quiet and peaceful (and child-free), and rooms have views of extensive gardens and rolling hills. The on site hosts provide a warm welcome. Guests have en-suite rooms with private patios, air conditioning and heating. The guest wing also has a large lounge for guests leading to the courtyard. In the lounge is a fridge, home theatre system and a dvd library as well as open fire, air conditioning and reclining seating. Snuggle up by the open fire in winter, and over summer, soak in the spa pool under star-filled night skies. Local, seasonal produce - homemade jams, fresh baked bread, free range eggs and locally cured bacon - is available for breakfast along with espresso coffee for the caffeine-fiends! For the animal lovers there is Dexter the dog, cats, chickens and alpacas to meet. Dinners are available at the lodge on request (additional cost and 24 hours notice required) and there is the award-winning Gladstone Inn just 5 minutes' drive away. The lodge has many eco-features including solar, rain water collection and native planting in the gardens. The Summit Lodge is an ideal base to explore local wineries, Castlepoint and Riversdale on the coast, Pukaha Mount Bruce and the many walks and cycling circuits in the Wairarapa.
