The Eelhouse offers an authentic taste of traditional Amsterdam in possibly its most beautiful district – Jordaan. Set in a historic 17th century canal house, this B&B is full of charming features, such as the famous gabled steps. Although furnished in a modern style, the rooms exude elegance with their French balconies, wooden floors, built-in wardrobes and queen-size beds. Each room has a mini-bar and coffee machine. The Eelhouse welcomes guests with fresh flowers as well as complimentary water, juice, wine and chocolates. A generous breakfast is also served in the rooms each morning. The Jordaan district boasts an array of cafes and restaurants dotted around its canals and squares. There is an Indonesian restaurant close by as well as the renowned Restaurant Vlaming, serving traditional Dutch fare. Anne Frank's House is just a ten-minute stroll away, whilst Dam Square and the Royal Palace can be reached in 15 minutes by foot. There is also a tram station 350 metres away.
