The Connaught Inn has 3 stars and is the closest accommodation to Castlebar station, being 2 minutes by car. Situated on Spencer street, The Law Courts, Davitt House, Council offices, The Green, GMIT, Mayo Uni Hospital, Theatre Royal Concert Centre and The Linenhall Arts Centre are all a minute's walk and the town centre a mere 5 minutes' walk. For peace and beautiful scenery, Lough Lannagh is a 10-minute walk. Castlebar and the surrounding areas have something for everyone with Westport only a 10minute drive. All the main fishing lakes are within 30 minutes making it an ideal base for fishing. The 18th century building has been tastefully modernised; all rooms are en-suite and suitable for business users or families. We have 2 self catering houses. Free wi-fi is available. Rooms are accessed via an external secure entrance. The Connaught also boasts a restaurant and bar lounge with multi channel sports open 7 days a week. Traditional Irish food with a contemporary twist is served. All produce is fresh and locally sourced where possible offering light bites through to a 4-course dinner. It also boasts the only external courtyard dining area in Castlebar.
