You can't beat the hospitality of the hostel owner. Very nice, helpful, generous, and attentive. It's somewhat a “one man show” and the owner arranges just about everything including tours and breakfast. He might even give you a free lift into the city centre! He's well connected as well with good friends who think highly of him.
Taxis are pretty cheap, which is good because you will need them to get around if you don't have a car. Luckily, they pass right by the hostel.
Don't be surprised to find a huge family of felines living in the yard behind the hostel. They are a hungry bunch too, so watch out for your food! You may have to fight off mosquitoes and other insects as well. Water can be an issue and you may have to ask for it to be turned on for showers and whenever you need water.
The hostel is up on a hill and getting up and down can be an issue.
It's not an extremely accessible place. If you need to go to the supermarket, grab a quick meal, you will find the location inconvenient. With minimal stores and restaurants around, you must either come well stocked with goodies or find a way to get into town.
